Oregon's Specialty Crops are the featured Stars of the Crop Up (TM) Dinner Series & Market Showcase created by the Oregon Department of Agriculture and Oregon State University. These dinners are hosted at various Oregon State University Branch Experiment Stations with five dinners happening in 2016 and another five dinners will be scheduled in 2017. The dinner series is designed to increase awareness of the bountiful diversity of Oregon Specialty Crops including fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits and nursery crops. Enjoy a seven course dinner (maybe more) built around locally grown Oregon Specialty Crops for just $20.

Salsa Festival & Showdown

Join the Thrive, the Medford Food Co-op, and La Clinica at a Salsa Festival & Showdown, a day celebrating Latino culture, healthy living, and local foods.  The fun includes Ballet Folklorico, Zumba, a live band, and a salsa dancing lesson followed by DJ music to inspire!, Recipe demonstrations, kids activities, and salsa sampling all round out the fun.

Put your salsa recipe to the test at the Salsa Showdown! Contestants will be put to the challenge of crafting their best salsa on-site at the Salsa Festival using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
